Angie Williams is one of our previous Open Call artists who showcased their painting at Ink Gallery's Primer exhibition and is now part of the Ink Gallery Collections.
 
Angie Williams is a local artists from North Wales, they use their art practise as a form of art therapy and awareness. After being diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 18, Angie shares this aspect of their work to destigmatise schizophrenia and to share to the viewer that mental health is not an evil monster or the stigma of the 'other', they are human and can be your family, your neighbours or anyone. They paint to raise awareness of their mental health condition and to bare their soul to the world.
